Description
After a day of hiking all over the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee, my wife and I realized we hadn't returned to one of our favorite places in the park. We have gone to this place during every visit and with the depressing upcoming drive home the next day, we had to go. We were tired and decided a more liesurley hike was needed to make it the short mile past Lynn Camp Prong Cascades to this point at the bend. When we first found this spot, there wasn't a clear path off the trail to this point, so we dubbed it "Our Secret Place." It's a hidden beauty, and certainly not a major feature because the next point of interest past Lynn Camp Prong Cascades on the park maps is Indian Flats Falls (which we've never been to). After setting up the equipment and shooting this location, we returned back to the car and headed to Morton's Overlook to capture the sunset, which can also be seen in my portfolio.
