Smoky Mountain Mist metal print by Nunweiler Photography. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. 6,000 feet. It's quiet up here. Looking straight out, you can see the end of the sky, below is the rolling mist of the smoky mountains. A slight breeze creeps by, the distant sound of a bird is faintly heard. The trees disappear and then become visible again through the ghastly smoke. This is Morton's Overlook, just below Newfound Gap, and the Appalachian trail. This is the Great Smoky Mountains.
