Description
When we first arrived at the private property, a man "greeted" us and asked for the $5.00 entrance fee. On my list of wonderful service providers, he wasn't even a consideration to be at the bottom. We paid the man and walked to the falls through pristine grounds. It was one of the most beuatiful places I've ever been to. Shooting the falls was easy for me. A few setting adjustments and the water flow was perfect. As we left that day a few hours later, we drove out and wanted to make sure we stopped at the gate to recognize the groundskeeper. As we approached, we stopped the car and waited for someone to appear out of the small shelter. When he did, it was the same man who took our $5.00 when we drove in. Not to be rude, I said to him, "Sir, I just want to make sure the groundskeeper knows how impressed we were at this place." He puffed his chest out with a grin and said, "Why, thank you. You just took a walk in my back yard." It was a clear reminder to not always judge people by first impressions. If that were my back yard, I think I'd be fairly strict too.
