Sunset at the Eternal Peace Light on Seminary Ridge in Gettysburg National Military Park in Southeastern Pennsylvania. I came at this time specifically to get the Eternal Peace Light at sunset. When I positioned myself by the cannon, I found the true beauty of this place. The town is silent, there is no boom of canon blasts and no distant sound of the Federal Army entrenching on Little Round Top to the south as it was the evening of July 1st, 1863 - nearly 150 years ago. If you allow yourself to become part of the history, this is the most powerful place I have ever been to. The 3 days that changed our world.
