Description

A stunning roadside waterfall in the Cherokee National Forest. The base of the falls is easily accessible on each side of a bridge. The sun was out that day and shining brightly right on the falls. Sun and waterfall photography don't work really well together, but I was patient. I watched cloud after cloud glide towards the sun and dissipate before it could shade the waterfall. I stood for 20 minutes thinking of all of the settings because any small cloud that would cover the sun for even a moment would give me the opportunity to take the shot. The could moved in and I was able to take five total shots before the sun shone brightly again.
