Artist's Description
Near the beginning of the 11 mile Cades Cove Loop trail, we came across this scene typically filled with wild turkey and horses. Today was cold with snow on the way. I wanted to capture the depth of this scene, the near field, the trees in the distance, the pond beyond, the forest in the middle, the mountains in the back and the clouds above. This is the first photograph I was truly very proud of because I captured exactly what I wanted.

That 11 mile loop of a trip was like 100 miles on a damp and chilly August afternoon when we were looking for a motel and make a zig when we should have zagged. The next morning we went back after a nights rest, and though still rainy, it was such a great time stepping back in history. I love your photo and you certainly did capture a wonderful picture.
Nunweiler Photography replied:
Thanks so much Carol. It's a magical place.
